Dupuytren's contracture is a condition in which there is difficulty in articulating the fingers of the hand due to formation of tissue knots beneath the skin. The fingers become permanently bent in a flexed position in severe condition. Dupuytren's contracture is not painful and most commonly affects the ring finger followed by the little and middle fingers. It has a higher rate in males over the age of 50.
